Elevators needing repairs could really improve the overall experience!!! Cleanliness, especially in rooms and bathrooms, left quite a bit to be desired!!! An update on old and worn facilities would enhance guest satisfaction immensely!!!

Enjoyed the top-notch service! The breakfast team impressed with their friendly demeanor, making mornings a highlight. Despite some dated decor, my family felt welcome and appreciated the cozy breakfast area. Tip, Early risers should arrive at breakfast to enjoy a wider selection of foods.

The Hampton Inn Kinston is located just a few miles from downtown Kinston, which was great for us since we were there to catch a Kinston Indians game. Our stay was comfortable, especially with two young kids in tow, and we appreciated the cozy breakfast area.

My kids wished for more kid-friendly breakfast options.

The dirty bathtub had rust stains, but the bed was comfortable enough for sleep.

The grab bars in the handicap bathroom did not make the room accessible. Stepping over the tub to get to them was quite inconvenient. The check-out process was frustrating because the system was down, leading to billing issues for two extra nights. Thankfully, the front desk staff was really nice and made a note, but it wasn’t followed up. The location is convenient, and I appreciated the amenities like the flat-screen TV and the variety of toiletries. The bed seemed comfortable enough for sleep, but I expected better cleanliness in the room overall. A strong smell of cigarettes was noticeable on the first floor upon returning in the evenings. The breakfast offered was decent but could use more variety. The pool area appeared pleasant, with many towels available, but I feel like maintenance is needed there too.

My room was super spacious with a comfortable layout. The breakfast was a treat with a good selection, including waffles and eggs, perfect for kickstarting my day! I also loved the endless supply of coffee in the lobby, it kept me energized throughout my stay.
